What you'll do
- Design and build databases for transactional and analytical workloads, including relational and multidimensional models
- Write T-SQL procedures, functions, joins, analytic queries and CTEs for data work
- Tune database performance using methods such as indexing and partitioning
- Shape ETL workflows with industry tools, and work with Spark and Azure Data Lake Storage
What you bring
- At least two years of relevant work experience
- A computer science degree or an equivalent qualification
- Hands-on T-SQL skills, plus experience designing databases and ETL workflows
- Some exposure to Apache Spark and familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage

Requirements
- 2+ years of related working experience
- Good knowledge of OLTP, Data Warehouse, relational, and multidimensional databases design and implementation (Normal Forms, Star Schemas), ideally with working experience on Azure Synapse or Azure SQL DW
- Experience with T-SQL programming (Store procedures, functions, joins, analytics functions, CTEs )
- Understanding of Database optimization techniques (indexes, partitioning )
- Understanding of ETL process design and experience with an ETL tool used in the industry (eg SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks)
- Some experience with Apache Spark
- Understanding of Azure Data Lake Storage
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject
- Understanding of fundamental computer science knowledge (data structures, algorithms, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, along with a desire to keep learning and growing
