What you'll do
- Run and improve the SAP Datasphere analytics layer, building and maintaining its data models, views and transformation flows
- Support Azure Databricks and develop its models and pipelines, while handling IT support for the service
- Coordinate external developers across both platforms and keep their work aligned with technical needs
- Maintain data quality, governance practices and technical documentation across platforms
- Turn business teams’ analytics needs into technical solutions and contribute to BI architecture and data strategy
What you bring
- A completed degree in computer science, business informatics or data engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Professional experience in BI or data engineering, with strong SQL skills
- Good written and spoken German and English, plus clear communication and a structured, self-directed approach
Who this fits
This role suits someone with BI or data engineering experience who can work independently and communicate with business teams and external developers. SAP analytics experience and Azure Databricks, PySpark or Spark SQL knowledge are helpful additions. The position is based in Wesel, Germany

Ihre Aufgaben
• Betreuung und Weiterentwicklung unserer SAP Datasphere-Umgebung als zentrale Consumption-Schicht der Analytics-Landschaft
• Aufbau und Pflege von Datenmodellen, Views und Transformation Flows in SAP Datasphere
• Betreuung und Weiterentwicklung unserer Azure Databricks-Umgebung einschließlich Unterstützung bei Datenmodellen und Pipelines
• Fachliche Steuerung und Koordination externer Entwicklungspartner in beiden Plattformen
• Sicherstellung von Datenqualität, Governance-Standards und technischer Dokumentation über Plattformgrenzen hinweg
• Mitarbeit an der Weiterentwicklung der BI-Architektur und Datenstrategie
• Zusammenarbeit mit Fachbereichen, um analytische Anforderungen in technische Lösungen zu übersetzen
• Verantwortung für den IT Support im Azure Databricks Service
Ihr Profil
• Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium der Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik oder des Data Engineerings bzw. eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
• Berufserfahrung im BI- oder Data-Engineering-Umfeld
• Fundierte SQL-Kenntnisse
• Hohe Eigeninitiative sowie eine selbstständige und strukturierte Arbeitsweise
• Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsfähigkeit sowie gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
• Idealerweise Erfahrung mit SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA oder vergleichbaren SAP-Analytics-Technologien
• Kenntnisse in Azure Databricks, PySpark oder Spark SQL ergänzen Ihr Profil
• Erfahrung in der Datenmodellierung, beispielsweise mit Star Schema, Dimensional Modeling oder Data Vault, ist ein Plus
• Von Vorteil sind entsprechende Python-Kenntnisse
