The Opportunity:

As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical skills to improve aerospace mission solutions. We are a cross-functional team of data scientists, data engineers, modelers, and web developers who analyze elegant solutions to complex data problems. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their unique problems and constraints, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll analyze novel optimization algorithms, write scripts, build predictive analytics, automate processes, apply machine learning techniques, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help military leadership make informed decisions. You’ll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it to solve their challenges. You Have:

• 2+ years of experience in engineering, science, or data science
• Experience with scripting and programming, including R, Python, SQL, Javascript, Matlab, or Ruby
• Knowledge of probability, statistics, and machine learning
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with data visualization tools and dashboard development such as Qlik or Tableau
• Experience with Extract, Transform, and Load
• Experience with DevOps tools, including GitHub, JIRA, or Jenkins
• Experience with Agile fundamentals
• Experience with leading technical teams in a supervisor role
• Experience with architecting AI and ML platforms and large-scale data infrastructure
• Experience with data governance principles including data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage
• Experience with back-end frameworks, including Flask, Django, or FastAPI
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Master’s degree in Engineering, CS, or Mathematics

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
