About the Role
This is a new leadership position within our data engineering practice. You will lead the Enablement team, a blended team spanning Dublin and Toronto, helping engineering teams across Citco get the most from our Centralized Data Platform (CDP) on Databricks. The role is design-focused rather than coding-focused. You will act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, shaping architecture and guiding best practices in performance, security, and scalability.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop a cross-location team of data professionals across Dublin and Toronto
- Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders, understanding their needs and translating them into platform solutions
- Define solution designs, reference architectures, and standards on Databricks (Delta Lake, Lakehouse, Unity Catalog)
- Coach teams on platform adoption, governance, and pipeline optimization
- Champion AI-assisted development (e.g. GitHub Copilot) and help teams use it effectively
- Collaborate with the Dublin-based and North America data engineering teams

What You'll Bring
- Deep Databricks expertise, with a strong architecture or solution design background
- Consulting or client-facing experience, with proven relationship management skills
- Strong consultative and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without authority
- Experience managing teams across multiple locations
- Solid grounding in data modeling, SQL, Python/Spark, ETL/ELT patterns, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in the development process
- Excellent communication skills
