About the Role

We're looking for a Business Systems Analyst – ERP & Business Intelligence to help us get more value from our business systems, improve how information flows across departments, and turn data into better business decisions.

This is a hands-on role that connects business operations, technology, and data. You'll work closely with teams across Kinetic to understand how our systems support day-to-day operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop practical solutions that make our business more efficient and effective.

A key focus will be supporting and becoming an internal power user of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, alongside developing meaningful reporting, dashboards, and performance measures.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an asset, but we're equally interested in candidates with strong hands-on experience implementing, supporting, or improving other ERP systems.

You'll also work closely with our Process Improvement Specialist to ensure improvements to how we work are supported by the right systems, workflows, and information.

Who You Are

You're a curious, analytical problem solver who enjoys understanding how businesses operate and how technology can make things work better.

You have a solid foundation in ERP systems and understand how business processes, transactions, data, and workflows connect. You're comfortable digging into system issues, asking questions, working with different departments, and finding solutions that make a practical difference.

You also understand that good reporting is about more than building dashboards. It's about knowing what to measure, ensuring the information is reliable, and helping people understand what the data is telling them.

Most importantly, you're someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and enjoys turning business challenges into workable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

ERP & Business Systems

  • Develop into Kinetics internal Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central power user, supporting system configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Understand how business processes, transactions, master data, and workflows connect across our systems.
  • Work with departments to identify system challenges, gather requirements, and implement practical improvements.
  • Support system integrations, automation, testing, documentation, and user adoption.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain meaningful KPIs, dashboards, and reports using Power BI, Business Central, Excel, and other reporting tools.
  • Partner with departmental leaders to understand what needs to be measured and how that information supports better decisions.
  • Analyze operational and business data to identify trends, constraints, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Investigate data inconsistencies and improve reporting accuracy, reliability, and accessibility.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Work closely with our Process Improvement Specialist to translate process improvements into effective system and workflow solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks, improve data flow, and streamline how departments work together.
  • Support cross-functional system improvements from requirements gathering through implementation.

Implementation & User Support

  • Coordinate testing, validation, and implementation activities with internal teams and external technology partners.
  • Develop practical system documentation, procedures, and training materials.
  • Help employees understand and effectively use business systems and reporting tools.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting, configuring, implementing, administering, or improving ERP or enterprise business systems.
  • Practical experience with an established ERP platform such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Oracle ERP, Infor, Epicor, Acumatica, or a comparable system.
  • A solid understanding of ERP business processes, master data, transactions, workflows, and how information moves between systems.
  • Experience translating business requirements into system improvements, configurations, or technical solutions.
  • Experience troubleshooting system issues, supporting implementations, testing, and working with end users.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, KPIs, or analytical tools using Power BI or similar reporting technology.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and turn information into useful business insights.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Post-secondary education in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, supply chain, or another operationally complex environment.
  • Experience supporting ERP processes involving inventory, purchasing, sales orders, production, or finance.
  • Experience with SQL, Power Query, DAX, Power Automate, APIs, or systems integration.
  • Experience with ERP upgrades, migrations, workflow automation, or post-implementation improvements.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay: $80,000–$100,000 annually, based on experience.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, paid holidays, and paid time off.
  • Growth Opportunities: Opportunities to continue developing your technical skills, deepen your ERP expertise, and grow professionally.
  • Collaborative Team: Work alongside people who value practical problem-solving, continuous improvement, and finding better ways to get things done.
  • Stability: Full-time, permanent employment with consistent hours.

Build Better Systems with Us

At Kinetic, we're continuing to improve how our people, processes, and technology work together. This is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful systems improvements, help shape how we use business information, and make a real impact on how our operations run.
