What you'll do
- Build and tune Hadoop ETL jobs, including work that improves their performance
- Use Java MapReduce and Hadoop concepts to deliver data engineering work
- Work with Pig, Hive, HBase or Oozie, plus a reporting tool such as Tableau
- Apply Cassandra or MongoDB experience and Unix skills across project work
What you bring
- At least seven years of IT experience and a Java background spanning two to three years
- A bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent, or progressive specialty experience in place of education
- Hands-on Hadoop, Java MapReduce, Unix and NoSQL experience, with ETL optimization work
- Completed major projects using the relevant technologies and strong communication skills

1. Perfect BD & Hadoop concepts
2. Good command on Unix
3. Should have a Java Background of atleast 2 to 3 years
4. Should be good in Java Map Reduce
5. Should have idea of Big Data tools Pig, Hive, HBase, Oozie
6. Should be aware of atleast one reporting tool using BD – like Tableau, Platfora etc…
7. Should have knowledge and exposure to NoSQL databases (either Cassandra or MongoDB)
8. Should have experience in optimizing Hadoop ETL jobs
9. Should have executed major projects covering above technologies
10. Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also
consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of
education.
- At least 7 years of IT experience.
