What you bring

- For senior roles, you hold SecurityX/CASP+, CCNP Security or another listed certification
- You communicate well, work independently, use Microsoft Office applications proficiently and are professionally fluent in English
Who this fits
This is an on-site role in Arlington, with occasional travel of up to ten percent. The posting covers junior, journeyman and senior levels, with different experience and certification thresholds. You must already be authorized to work full time in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable. The work includes extended computer use and may involve office or occasional loud-equipment environments.
From the employer
The Data Architect is responsible for designing and governing the entire data ecosystem of the War Data Platform. This person will establish the enterprise data model, define standards for data storage (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, databases), and design the architecture for data ingestion, processing pipelines (ETL/ELT), and data access. They will work closely with the GRC and security teams to ensure data governance, data quality, and data protection policies are designed into the architecture from the start. The Data Architect's primary goal is to ensure that data on the WDP is findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR), enabling advanced analytics and AI/ML at scale.
Requirements
- SECRET Security Clearance Required
- Cloud+,GSEC,Security+, or SSCP cerification (for Junior / Journeyman roles)
- SecurityX/CASP+,CCNP Security,CISA,CCSP, or CISSP certification (for Senior role)
- We are actively seeking multiple levels:
- Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
- Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
- Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
- Good communication skills, self-starter mindset.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment:
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
