Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Data Infrastructure & Business Insights)

Job Type: Full-time

Reports To: Head of Engineering

Location: Remote (~GMT+8)

What you’ll be doing:

1. Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL/ELT processes and reliable data pipelines in dbt and BigQuery, integrating data from a variety of sources (MongoDB, SQL, Google Sheets, Google Analytics, APIs, etc.);
2. Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Looker Studio and other BI tools;
3. Ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization, implement data quality controls;
4. Proactively collaborate with different stakeholders across operations, sales, finance and tech to clarify requirements and answer data-related questions.

What makes you a great fit:

1. 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data analytics roles in a fast-paced or startup environment;
2. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable data solutions;
3. Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel, experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses. Familiarity with MongoDB is a plus;
4. Experience with Python for data processing or automation (knowledge of other programming languages is a plus);
5. Solid understanding of data modeling and database design principles;
6. Hands-on experience with data visualization and BI tools, especially Looker Studio;
7. Proficient git user;
8. BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics;
9. Fluent in written and spoken English.

• You prefer to focus purely on coding and don’t enjoy collaborating or communicating with non-technical teams. This role requires frequent interaction with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data solutions;
• You find it stressful to manage multiple tasks at once. Our data requests can come from several teams simultaneously, and priorities may shift quickly — flexibility and context-switching are part of the job.

Salary range:

1500-2300 SGD (20-30M IDR) depending on experience.
