Role brief

dataroles summary, based on the employer's posting.

What you'll do

  • Shape a self-serve analytics experience for two or three business functions, prioritizing work by impact and user needs
  • Turn unclear business questions into defined analytical work, then carry it through from framing to recommendations
  • Explain complex findings in executive-ready stories and short memos that help different audiences make decisions
  • Guide marketing decisions with analysis of campaign results, lead tracking, attribution and funnel performance
  • Use AI tools to strengthen analysis and work more efficiently

What you bring

  • At least seven years in analytics, data or a related role, including direct work with senior business leaders
  • Strong knowledge of GTM commercial drivers and practical marketing analytics experience
  • Working SQL skills and familiarity with Snowflake, dbt and BI tools that use semantic layers
  • Experience presenting analysis to executives and influencing a decision

Who this fits

This senior role suits an analyst who combines business judgment with hands-on data work and can manage competing stakeholder requests. You’ll focus deeply on a small number of functions rather than covering every business unit. The job is remote within the United States, with occasional work outside standard hours possible across time zones.

From the employer

Join the company that’s building the telemetry infrastructure for the AI era. At Cribl, we partner with IT and Security teams at many of the world’s biggest enterprises, including half of the Fortune 100, to bridge the gap between AI ambition and infrastructure reality. As the AI Platform for Telemetry, we give customers the choice, control, and flexibility to manage and analyze telemetry for both humans and agents, so they can build what’s next.

We’re one of the fastest‑growing private companies and a leading player in a massive, fast‑moving market. With a global workforce, we’re remote‑first and grounded in a simple idea: software is a people business. Cribl is the place where curious, collaborative people can do their best work, grow fast, and bring their full selves to the herd.

Why You’ll Love This Role

At Cribl, we are evolving our data organization from a centralized service desk into a dynamic, product-led enablement engine. We are seeking an Analytics Lead to act as our internal data consultant and product owner.

Operating dynamically across multiple business units (GTM, People, Finance, etc.), you will take on ambiguous, complex business challenges and design self-serve data solutions that drive action. You combine the strategic rigor of a management consultant with the technical chops of a senior data practitioner. You won’t just take requests; you will own the “Data UX” for our internal stakeholders. You will go deep with two or three named functions rather than spreading thin across all of them.

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will…

  • Executive Storytelling & Audience Tailoring: Translate complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives, tailoring insights and recommendations to different audiences to drive decisions.
  • Product Mindset: Treat analytics as a product. Learn what users need, rank work by impact, maintain a shared plan, and build analyses people can make decisions from quickly
  • Problem Framing & Translation: Turn ambiguous questions into defined requirements, and own the analytics end-to-end.
  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Serve as a strategic thought partner to cross-functional stakeholders, aligning analytical priorities, influencing decisions, and driving clarity on complex business challenges.
  • AI tooling: Strategically leverage AI tools to enhance analytical capabilities, improve efficiency, and drive innovation.
  • Analytics Liaison: Serve as the data team's subject matter expert on marketing data, providing strategic guidance on campaign performance, lead tracking, attribution, and funnel analytics to support marketing decisions.
  • We are a remote-first company and work happens across many time-zones – you may be required to occasionally perform duties outside your standard working hours

If You’ve Got It - We Want It

  • 7+ years in analytics, data, or a related role, including direct partnership with senior business leaders.
  • Deep knowledge of GTM commercial drivers, with hands-on experience in marketing analytics (e.g., attribution, campaign measurement, funnel analysis), and the ability to learn adjacent functions quickly.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with the modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt) and BI tools with semantic layers (e.g. Omni, Looker, Sigma). Fluency is the bar, not virtuosity: we expect you to use AI-assisted modeling to move faster, and we’d rather have deep business knowledge with competent SQL than the reverse.
  • Experience building or directing predictive models (e.g., propensity, churn) and experiments, and judging when their output is good enough to act on.
  • A track record of presenting analysis to executives that influenced a decision.
  • Strong written communication: you can turn an analysis into a short memo a leader can act on without a meeting.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across stakeholders and decline requests with a clear reason.

The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location and will be based on the individual candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

In addition to base salary, for sales and some sales-adjacent roles, employees are eligible to earn incentive compensation (commission). For all other roles, employees are eligible to participate in the Cribl Corporate Bonus Program.

In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl also offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), and equity.

Base Salary Range$150,000—$190,000 USD
